i3media seeks solutions for the creation of technology to deal with intelligent contents, focused on the automation of heavy industry processes involved in the creation of audiovisual content. In addition, it introduces significant improvement in usability and accessibility of them. Concretely, i2CAT works in the multimedia content adaptation process.
Elements of innovation and research more relevant
Currently, there is increasing demand and consumption of multimedia content to users. They comprise a heterogeneous scenario were users get connected through different terminals with different capabilities and network access. Even these users have different preferences according to their specific preferences and interests. i2CAT focuses its efforts on the design and implementation of a content adaptation module able to find the best possible adaptation taking into consideration the context of each user.

The module allows efficient use of computational and network resources for both service and content providers. Moreover, it improves the user experience when receiving content adapted to user characteristics under a criterion of maximum quality. The adaptation maximizes the degree of user satisfaction and therefore the loyalty to the multimedia platform.
