La Fundación i2CAT y VODAFONE están desarrollando diversos proyectos de investigación conjuntos de soluciones tecnológicas que promueven la eficiencia energética y permiten luchar contra el cambio climático.

El projecte VEP (Virtual European Conference), finançat pel programa eParticipation de la Unió Europea, pretén crear un entorn públic virtual que promou el debat entre els ciutadans i els membres del parlmanet europeu. La Fundació i2CAT és la coordinadora tècnica del projecte i la responsable del desenvolupament de la plataforma.
First European mass virtual debate
For the first time European parliamentarians in Brussels and citizens of three EU countries in their respective cities, debate by conference about topical issues such as the recent telecoms package. "This is another step forward in the democratization of European politics, thanks to new technologies," assured Artur Serra, deputy director of the Foundation i2CAT during the presentation of the European project VEP (Virtual European Parliament).
