For the first time European parliamentarians in Brussels and citizens of three EU countries in their respective cities, debate by conference about topical issues such as the recent telecoms package. "This is another step forward in the democratization of European politics, thanks to new technologies," assured Artur Serra, deputy director of the Foundation i2CAT during the presentation of the European project VEP (Virtual European Parliament). This project, funded by the European Union program eParticipation, aims to create a virtual environment that promotes public debate among citizens in their respective countries and members of Parliament.
