The Project Management Office (PMO) was created in June 2012 in order to normalize and homogenize all the activities related to the administrative and financial management of the projects and future project proposals.
Therefore, the PMO is the framework for establishing practices, tools and unified control mechanisms which enable our entity to manage its projects during their development.
The current functions of PMO are as follows:
PMO assists i2CAT’s areas and units in the preparation of proposals for European and national programmes. PMO takes care of the execution of nontechnical documentation of new projects proposals: administrative section, generic section and financial section.
PMO carries out the administrative and financial management of European, state and national projects in cooperation with the areas and units of the entity.
The Project Management Offices also carries out and follows-up the subsidies application proposals for the contracting of human resources at a national, state and European level.
The previously explained tasks were defined in order to make the PMO efficient and effective during its most delicate stage, which coincides with the first period of activity. Thus, it initially focuses on key objectives to create a projection for future growth, with a baseline that allows for the addition of skills in more advanced stages.
